When robots were introduced at the New Karolinska Hospital, the new colleagues were not treated well. They had to endure both insults and physical attacks. Until Nicholas Fernholm and his colleagues dressed them up as Santa Clauses and Santas.

Today, Nicholas is speaking about AI and the opportunities this new technology creates. His main goal is to speed up organizations, to dare to test and challenge to develop faster. Quite simply, to take risks.

We spend a lot of the conversation talking about risk-taking, something Nicholas grew up with. If you were interested in sports in the 90s, you probably remember Nicholas’ father Stefan Fernholm, a world-class Swedish discus thrower and shot putter. He took risks both in training and in taking drugs that are now banned, which may have led to his premature death.
